ROCKY MOUNTAIN MOMENTS PRESS

An independent press built on the belief that small moments matter more than summits.

For more than a decade, I found my way back to myself one trail at a time. The Rocky Mountains didn't ask me to be anything other than who I was. They just asked me to keep moving. The Alpenglow called & somewhere along the way, I started photographing what I found out there, not the summits, but the in-between. The way light falls on a frost-covered meadow at dawn. The particular silence of a ridge line before a storm moves in. The moment your body says stop and your heart says keep going.

My father used to say that small moments matter most. He was right. And when I lost him, the mountains were where I went to remember that.
Rocky Mountain Moments Press exists because of what I found out there, and because of the people I kept meeting who needed to find it, too. People in my support groups who couldn't access the mountains physically, who were searching for something they didn't have words for yet. This press is the map I made so they could follow the trail without having to hike it.

Author

The Trail Within is my debut guided journal, a wilderness-inspired journey through the inner landscape that every person carries. It is part memoir, part map, part letter to the people who are finding their way home to themselves. Each chapter is rooted in a real place in the Rocky Mountains and guided by reflection prompts designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Photographer

I have been photographing the Rocky Mountains for years, chasing the light that most people never see because it happens before the trailhead fills up. My fine art photography is available as limited edition prints, images made to hold something true about the wild places that hold us.

Publisher

Rocky Mountain Moments Press is an independent, woman-owned publishing house rooted in Northern Colorado. Every book produced is designed with the same care and intention as the writing inside it, because a book you return to should be beautiful enough to deserve it.

What We Make

Rocky Mountain Moments Press produces fine art photography, guided journals, and keepsake editions: books designed to be read slowly, returned to often, and passed on. The debut title, The Trail Within, is available now for pre-order as a signed, limited first edition print. Audiobook and Braille editions are in development, because this work belongs to every person who needs it, not only those who can hold a book in their hands.

Independent by Design

Rocky Mountain Moments Press is not a traditional publishing house with a warehouse and a sales team. It is one woman, two cameras, a manuscript in progress, and a deep conviction that the right book in the right hands at the right moment can change everything. Independent publishing means every decision, from the paper weight to the font on the spine, is made with intention. It means a signed copy is signed by the person who wrote it, photographed it, and built the press that published it.

Why now? In a moment when AI can generate a thousand images in seconds, the desire for original keepsakes has never been greater. Rocky Mountain Moments Press exists because my work outgrew every smaller containier I tried to put it in and because the people who need this are ready.

FAQ's

Is Rocky Mountain Moments Press a physical publishing house? We are an independent press: founder-led, intentionally small, and based in Northern Colorado. Books are professionally printed through a trusted print-on-demand partner and shipped directly to you. Every first edition is signed by Brandee Rockett, author and founder.

Where are your books printed? The Trail Within is printed through IngramSpark, a professional print partner used by independent publishers worldwide. Print quality, paper weight, and binding are all selected to meet fine art standards.

Can I stock your books in my shop or gift store? We would love that. Please reach out through our contact page and we'll talk through wholesale and consignment options. We're especially interested in partnering with shops, wellness spaces, and outdoor retailers whose communities align with ours.

Do you accept submissions from other authors? Not at this time. Rocky Mountain Moments Press is currently focused on publishing our own titles. If that changes, we'll announce it here first.

I can't access the mountains physically. Is this book for me? It is especially for you. The Trail Within was written with you in mind — the guided journal format is designed to bring the wilderness inward, so the terrain you're moving through is your own interior landscape. Audiobook and Braille editions are coming so that no one is left at the trailhead.
